To clean scissors with WD-40, spray it on the sticky tape residue or rust and let it sit for a few minutes. Wipe off the residue with a cloth and scrub rust with fine steel wool if needed. Wash the scissors with soapy water, dry them, and apply a light coat of WD-40 to prevent future rust.
